After years of neglect and months of work, NetControl 4 has finally been upgraded. Net Control 5 is a complete rewrite using modern technology and a completely new look.
Great! What is it? Net Control 5 is a program for people acting as the net control station on an amateur radio rag-chew net, specifically the Rooster Net (3990kHz, 0600 Eastern). You could use it for nets other than the Roosters, of course, as long as you don't mind your members' numbers being called Rooster Numbers and the date they joined your net as their Crow-in Date.
If you just want to see what it looks like, download the help file. If you want to try it or use it, download either the .exe or the .zip file. Net Control 5 will install on the same machine with NetControl 4. There is no conflict between them. It's free. Also, there's no charge.
Installation should go something like this:
1. Download the .exe or .zip file.
2. If you downloaded the .exe, double-click it and follow the prompts to install the program.
OR
3. If you downloaded the .zip file, unzip it and double-click setup.exe.
4. To bring in your data from NetControl 4, start the program and select Tools, Import, NetControl 4 database...
5. If you're a Rooster, logon to the Online Rooster Roster and download Roster.csv.
6. Import the roster with Tools, Import, Rooster Roster...
